SAY16th Annual Chefs’ Gala

Budd Mayer Advocacy Award Recipients – Linda D’Alessandro & Jay Badame

SAY means a lot to us personally, we became involved because of family members: our nephew Drew, Linda’s father, a carpenter by trade, Linda’s sister who is a nurse, Linda herself, & her cousin who is an anesthesiologist. We know the challenges, anxiety and difficulties faced every day by kids who stutter. Drew has been a SAY member for 3 years and this will be his last year as a camper.  We proudly advocate for the kids of SAY with our family, friends & colleagues. With their support, and yours,  we are able to help send children from all over the country to Camp SAY. Free of any bias or bullying, and filled with acceptance, hope, understanding, and confidence.

We are blessed to have so many wonderful people join us to participate in this year’s Gala. SAY, through Taro Alexander, Noah Cornman, their families & brilliant staff members, have helped the voices of these inspiring young people be heard. We are honored & grateful to be a part of this family. Thank you so much.

Jay Badame, President and COO of AECOM/Tishman and AECOM/Hunt, father and grandfather.

Linda D’Alessandro, Certified Occupational Therapist, Realtor: NJ Real Estate, mother and grandmother of twins.
