SAY established World SAY Day on May 15, 2014 – a day that gives a voice to all people who stutter. Over 70 million people stutter on a daily basis, including 5% of all children.
World SAY Day was commemorated with a Bell Ringing Ceremony at NASDAQ that was televised across the globe. Children who participate in SAY programs joined us for this incredible NASDAQ Bell Ringing Ceremony and SAY Founder & President, Taro Alexander, Executive Director, Noah Cornman and Board Member, Shachar Scott delivered inspirational remarks that were broadcast worldwide.
Special thanks to Viacom, our tremendous corporate supporter, and NASDAQ for honoring SAY with this important opportunity to voice support for all people who stutter. World SAY Day dovetails with National Stuttering Awareness Week that was established by an act of Congress in 1988.
