George Springer’s All-Star Bowling Benefit Kickoff Party Was a Home Run

Supporters gathered at not-yet-opened River Oaks District restaurant to celebrate the upcoming fifth annual event.

ON JUNE 10, GEORGE SPRINGER SCORED a different kind of home run. The 2017 World Series champ is getting ready to host the fifth annual All-Star Bowling Benefit, a fundraised for SAY: The Stuttering Association for the Young. The All-Star Bowling Benefit launched with a kickoff party at Ouzo Bay, set to open June 17 in River Oaks District. Showcasing dishes from both Atlas Restaurant Group restaurants—Ouzo Bay and Loch Bar—more than 40 guests enjoyed delicious elevated Mediterranean cuisine, fresh seafood, cocktails and fine red and white wine. The evening also included a raffle and remarks from co-chair Lara Bell, who expressed why Camp SAY is so important to her and its impact on youth who stutter.

The kickoff event energized attendees, getting everyone excited for the main event on June 27 at Bowlmor Houston. For more information visit: www.say.org/springer.
