At SAY, we are proud to support and celebrate the voices of the more than 70 million people worldwide who stutter, every day. As October 22nd approaches, we rejoice in inspiring and spreading global stuttering awareness and sharing our celebration with the world on International Stuttering Awareness Day!

Here are some fun ways to get into the #ISAD2021 spirit and join the festivities by learning more about stuttering, raising awareness in your community, and remembering that for people who stutter, EVERY DAY is Stuttering Awareness Day.

1. Check out In the Spotlight and Share it With Your Community!

This powerful new PSA, created in partnership with The Stuttering Association for the Young and creative agency BBDO, aims to ignite an overdue national conversation around stuttering to raise awareness and help viewers understand how to supportively listen to people who stutter, and give them as much time as they need to speak.

Please enjoy In the Spotlight and then download & SHARE it on your social media platforms using the hashtag #SpacetoStutter!

2. Host a My Beautiful Stutter Watch Party!

This award-winning independent documentary from Executive Producers Mariska HargitayPeter HermannPaul Rudd, and George Springer, follows five kids who stutter, ages 9 to 18, from all over the United States who, after experiencing a lifetime of bullying and stigmatization, meet other children who stutter at SAY and Camp SAY. Over the course of a year, we witness firsthand the incredible transformation that happens when these young people experience for the first time the revolutionary idea at the heart of SAY: that it is really, REALLY okay to stutter.

You can rent, buy, or stream My Beautiful Stutter on iTunes & AppleTV and discovery+ in the U.S. and internationally on Vimeo on Demand. Celebrate ISAD 2021 by hosting a Watch Party with family and friends!
